Artist's Description
I had this great idea about telling an epic story I would call "AN ARTHROPOD'S LIVED EXPERIENCE." It was about an ant community who gives half of their food to a grasshopper gang. One year they don't have enough food to give to the grasshoppers, so the grasshoppers threaten to destroy the ants if they can't offer more food when they return. In an act of desperation, the ants send out a lone ambassador to find warrior bugs to help them fight off the grasshopper menace.
I spent hours laying out the opening sequence. I was so proud of my work so I went downstairs to show my wife the progress I had made on this new grand idea. She took one look and said, "Isn't that the plot of "A Bug's Life,"" I squashed the whole idea.
